Role description

Technical pre-sales, as well as assisting with first-line post sales support
Interaction with customers, typically multinational broadcast companies, at technical level for assessing specific requests and challenges
Interaction with multinational vendor organisations, as well as colleagues (based in Turkey and internationally), in order to develop solutions for the delivery of professional video applications
Performance of technical demonstrations at customer sites during pre-sales phase
Responsible for collaborating on, and contributing to, end-to-end business support for systems
Company office in Istanbul. Physical presence at the office required occasionally

MUST have

Significant technical experience of delivering video projects, ideally for high-end clients
Experience of specifying and preparing equipment for video demonstrations as well as installing and operating equipment onsite
Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
Minimum 5 years experience in the video broadcast industry
Excellent grasp of good problem-solving principles and logical judgement
Sound knowledge of DVB, MPEG standards
IP knowledge (at least experience related to VoIP applications)
Proven ability to share knowledge with team members for mutual gain
University Degree in Engineering (Electronic/Telecommunication/Computer Science or similar)
Full driving licence
Open to travel abroad
Flexibility to work outside office hours (occasionally)
Fluent in Turkish, very good command of the English language (spoken and written)
No pending national service (military service)

Preferable but not essential to have

Linux knowledge
Experience in specific video application (satellite DTH, cable, video contribution, digital video headend, IPTV, ABR/OTT etc.)
Previous employment in large broadcast organisation or video manufacturer
